Media

Media tools bring things that are not text onto the workspace.

Place it

Open Media in the rail, then drag Link, Image, Audio, Video or Upload onto the canvas — or tap +.

You can also drag a file straight from your computer onto the workspace. It becomes the right kind of card without you choosing one.

The five

Link — a reference link card. Paste a URL; it holds the address and title so the workspace shows what it points at rather than a bare string.

Image — an image card. It renders on the workspace, so a screenshot or diagram is visible without opening anything.

Audio — an audio reference card, playable in place.

Video — a video reference card.

Upload — a file of any other kind, held on the workspace and openable.

Use it

Drag the edge to resize an image — useful when a screenshot should be a landmark rather than a thumbnail.

Double-click a document-shaped file to open it in the matching extension.

Worth knowing

Files up to 50 MB can be dropped onto a workspace. Above that, keep the file where it is and link to it — or use the Files panel, which references your folders without copying anything at all.

Media counts toward what syncs. With cloud sync on, media placed on a workspace is part of what moves. Large images are the usual reason a workspace feels heavy.

Linking a folder is different from uploading. Upload puts a copy into Vexlynk. The Files panel points at your real folder and copies nothing. For anything you keep editing elsewhere, use Files.
