Documents

The Documents extension is a rich-text editor for anything longer than a note — proposals, scripts, briefs, checklists.

Open it

Double-click a document card on your workspace. It opens here with that document loaded. This is the normal way in.

Or open Extensions → Documents from the rail and use New document to start empty.

If you open the extension with nothing loaded it says so — “No document open” — rather than showing a blank page you might mistake for a new file.

Write in it

It behaves like the editors you already know: type, select, format. Headings, bold, italic, lists, quotes.

Your work saves back into the card automatically. There is no Save button to remember, and closing the window does not lose anything.

Starting from AI

Most documents in Vexlynk do not start from nothing.

The rail has Document (AI), which generates a proposal, checklist, script or presentation from a description. Drag it onto the workspace, say what you want, and it produces a real draft as a document card.

Double-click that card and you are here, editing it. That is the intended loop — the agent writes the first version, you write the final one. Rewriting a draft is faster than facing an empty page, and the draft has your actual workspace data in it.

Share it

A document can be viewed and shared as HTML, so the result can leave Vexlynk without the recipient needing it.

Worth knowing

Very large documents do not sync to web. If a document outgrows what web sync can carry, Vexlynk says “Document too large for web sync — edit on desktop” rather than truncating it or failing quietly. Your text is safe; it is the syncing of it that has a ceiling.

Files from your computer are read-only. A document opened through the Files panel will not be overwritten — use Save a copy. See Extensions.
