Video Editor
The Video Editor is a timeline editor inside Vexlynk. Cut, arrange and export video without moving to another application.
Open it
Section titled “Open it”Extensions → Video Editor in the rail.
Use it
Section titled “Use it”Bring in media, arrange clips on the timeline, and export.
Your project is saved into the workspace, so closing the window does not lose the edit — reopening returns you to where you were.
AI captions
Section titled “AI captions”The editor can generate captions for your video automatically.
This uses your own OpenAI key, not Vexlynk’s hosted AI, and it does not consume your AI turns. Captions are billed by OpenAI against your key.
Add the key in Settings. Without one, the rest of the editor works normally — captions are the only part that needs it. See Bring Your Own Key.
Export
Section titled “Export”Export finished video as MP4 — a file on your machine you can upload anywhere.
Worth knowing
Section titled “Worth knowing”Video is heavy. Long or high-resolution projects use real disk and memory. This is why the extension is desktop only rather than a limitation we chose.
