Operator Actions
Operator Actions reads your whole board — every workspace, your connected sources, your notes, your numbers — and writes you a short, dated Operator Record: what changed, what happened together, what you already paid to learn, what to ignore, what is at risk if you do nothing, and five moves in priority order.
It is available on Plus and Pro. On Free, the card explains what it does and offers Upgrade to Plus; it does not run.
Install it
Section titled “Install it”Open Marketplace, find Operator Actions, and Install. It is one card for your whole workspace — it lives on one board and reads all of them. On other boards it tells you which board it lives on.
When it writes
Section titled “When it writes”- Once a day, the first time you open Vexlynk. It only runs while the app is open — never in the background while Vexlynk is closed.
- It waits for your sources to refresh first, so the Record uses current numbers. A source that could not refresh is marked Not current with the time of its last good data, so you know which numbers are old.
- Write today’s Record runs it now.
- A weekly Record is written the first time you open Vexlynk in a new week, comparing the week as a whole.
It writes in your language. Each Record is an AI request and counts toward your plan’s AI usage.
What the Record contains
Section titled “What the Record contains”| Section | What it is |
|---|---|
| Changed | The real movements across your cards and sources |
| Together | Things that happened at the same time — a content push alongside a revenue bump, a quiet client alongside an overdue task |
| Paid to learn | Lessons from moves you did and judged (see the loop below) |
| Ignore | One or two things that look urgent but are not — never something that is also one of your moves |
| If nothing by Fri | What breaks if you do nothing until Friday |
| Today’s moves / Next up | Five moves in priority: three for today, two next |
Today’s three are sized to your day. Operator Actions reads how full your day already is from your calendar and task cards; on a packed day, the moves are made small enough to fit, and the Record says the day is full.
How far you can trust it
Section titled “How far you can trust it”These rules are enforced on every Record, not just intended:
- Every line cites the cards it came from. A line that cannot be tied to a card on your board is not shown.
- A number appears only if a cited card states it. Nothing is estimated or invented.
- “Together” means co-occurrence, never causation. It says two things happened at the same time — not that one caused the other. A line that claims a cause is removed.
- Old data is labeled, not passed off as current.
If the AI cannot be reached, or its answer comes back incomplete, the card says so and shows nothing rather than a partial Record.
The card
Section titled “The card”- Actions — the Record and your moves
- vs last — what is the same and what is different since the previous Record, by Day or Week
- Move #1 — why your top move is first, the expected result, and the numbers behind it (only numbers a card states)
- Outcomes — what you did and how it went (below)
Export any Record with Print, as a PDF, Markdown or HTML download, or Open in Docs.
The loop: done → what you did → did it help
Section titled “The loop: done → what you did → did it help”- Mark a move done. The next move moves up, and a new one is found to take its place.
- Note what you did, in your own words (optional) — “tweeted the founder story”.
- Later, when you know, open Outcomes and judge it: Helped, Didn’t help, or Too soon to tell — plus what happened (“got 3 replies”, “no change”). You can do this days later.
Judged outcomes become the Paid to learn lessons in future Records — so the Record builds a memory of what actually works for you, and stops suggesting what you already learned does not.
Its memory
Section titled “Its memory”Every Record is kept — dated, and it cannot be rewritten later. The outcomes you judge (Helped, Didn’t help, Too soon to tell) stay with the Record they belong to. That history is used two ways:
- On its own. Each new Record searches your past Records by meaning and brings in the ones from similar situations — what you tried then, and how it went — so it does not suggest what already failed.
- When you ask. Ask the agent “have I faced this before, and did it work?” or “what did I try when a client went quiet?” and it searches your past Records for similar situations and answers from them, naming each Record by its date. You can also ask by time — “what did last week’s Record say?”
A brief is today’s read. Operator Actions is today’s read plus the memory that makes the next one smarter.
What it does not do
Section titled “What it does not do”- It does not act for you. Moves are suggestions; you do them.
- It does not run while Vexlynk is closed.
- It never claims a cause — only what happened together, cited.
- Vlynks — the other intelligence modules
- ClickUp — bring your tasks onto the board so the Record can see them
- Plans & Limits — what Plus and Pro include
